Training and Evaluation Cycle for EVS Volunteers in the Western Balkans
In Programme countries, the Training and Evaluation Cycle is implemented by the National Agencies, in the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo (*), Montenegro and Serbia) the training and evaluation cycle is implemented by the SALTO SEE Resource Centre.
For EVS volunteers hosted in the region it consists of two sessions:
- EVS On-arrival training (only for EVS activities lasting 60 days or more, travel days excluded) and
- EVS Mid-term evaluation meeting (only for EVS activities lasting 6 months or, more precisely, 180 day or more, travel days excluded).
For EVS volunteers sent from the region to the EVS projects in the Programme countries, it consists of one session:
- Annual EVS Event (for both short and long-term EVS volunteers); organized twice a year, in May and December
In the countries of the Western Balkans these training sessions are usually organised at regional level, bringing together EVS volunteers based in the whole region for one session. This gives EVS volunteers the opportunity to meet other volunteers in the region who are also doing EVS or who came back in the region from EVS projects in the Programme countries.
